RE: RE/MAX Excellence Response to Global Health Crisis

Dear clients and partners,

I would like to update you on the adjustments our team has made as we prepare for our new reality, and how we are navigating operations and moving forward in the face of the COVID-19 health crisis.

First and foremost, our mandate is to continue to be here for our clients, and support our agents both in real estate marketing, and in health, as we experience these unprecedented changes.

Unique to this industry, realtors are often highly involved and connected in Edmonton communities. We recognize the role our brokerage, and our associates play during this critical time, and are taking necessary steps to maintain operations, and provide agents support to continue to be there for their clients.

We are proactively following Canada’s Health and Safety guidelines for interaction and sanitization. Our offices closed to the public effective the week of March 16, and as of March 23, all of our staff are working remotely to continue operations in a modified format.

Our office continues to offer transactional services, consultations, and referrals. Conveyancing is done remotely and therefore any documents should be sent electronically. This is what takes place to a large extent already. While we have a drop box for cheques, we encourage people to send funds via wire transfer or direct deposit. For key transfers, these should be co-ordinated with the respective Excellence agent.

To protect our agents and our clients, We are not holding open houses, and we will show listings with specific health and safety guidelines being followed. However, in this digital age, we will continue marketing your property using a number of virtual tools, which are at our disposal, such as video, quality photos, social media, virtual tours & staging, virtual open houses, and other online attributes. These are being leverage to continue communicating and marketing real estate at this time.

We also want you to know, that if you're looking for support, information, consultations - our agents are available and we are happy to connect you with one. We have also set up new processes where they can meet with you via video conferencing. Please reach out to our office to speak to an agent. We're all in this together and are working to move forward and navigate these difficult times. Please contact our office or your Excellence realtor for information on modified marketing, processes, and adjustments we’re implementing to buy and sell homes.

Stay safe and reach out to our office with any questions or concerns.
