Franco Mahone started his career as a 13-year-old busboy, gradually working through the ranks to assistant manager in the hospitality industry. After receiving his Business Marketing and Management diploma, he opened an Italian Caffe downtown called Tesoro. Coming from a background in hospitality, serving people had become a passion for him, which is one of the reasons he became a real estate agent.
“I love the feeling of seeing people happy and that was the main reason why I got into the business.”Franco made the transition into real estate after selling Tesoro, though he also was part owner of a West Edmonton Mall nightclub from 2009 till 2015, he has been with RE/MAX Excellence for nearly 4 years. Like any entrepreneur, Franco is motivated by having ownership in the work you do, and the results of that work. “I have never been afraid of hard work so I knew that if I applied myself in the real estate business, I would succeed and be able to provide a better quality of life for my family,” he said. Unlike every entrepreneur, Franco stands apart as a professional with a strong commitment to personal growth, both his own and for those he mentors. He has his professional coaching certification and is currently growing his Real Estate Coaching Company, M Group – High-Performance Real Estate. At RE/MAX Excellence, Franco leads a team of four realtors, providing them the support and accountability that is essential for agents to grow their businesses.

He is working on the expansion and plans to bring on professionals that have that same client-care mindset and motivation. He is always interested in meeting new agents and sharing a goal-setting mentality.
“Any goal that I set for myself, I have a specific method I follow to achieve them - I get myself into the right STATE, I write my STORY on WHY I want to achieve the goal, then I create the STRATEGY on how to achieve it. I also immerse myself in self-development and positive knowledge whether it be reading books, audiobooks to listen to in my car, attending Tony Robbins events etc....I try and feed my mind every day so I can keep my goals at the forefront of my mind.”We're lucky to have such a dedicated leader in our office, who is focused on ensuring his clients are provided all of the necessary information throughout their home buying or selling experience.
